Product Designer

About the Role

We're looking for a Product Designer to shape how clinicians and patients interact with Medelic. You'll design the interfaces that GPs use to review AI-generated triage summaries, and the experiences that guide patients through clinical conversations.

This is a unique design challenge. You'll be designing for busy clinicians who need information at a glance, and for patients who may be anxious, unwell, or unfamiliar with technology. Clarity, accessibility, and trust are paramount.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end design for new features, from research to production
• Design clinician-facing dashboards and workflow tools
• Create patient-facing conversational interfaces
• Conduct user research with GPs, practice staff, and patients
• Build and maintain our design system
• Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure high-quality implementation
• Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design practices

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of product design experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking
• Experience with complex, data-rich interfaces
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience designing for healthcare or clinical settings
• Familiarity with conversational UI/voice interface design
• Background in design systems work
• Experience with NHS Digital Service Manual standards

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: £70,000 - £95,000 depending on experience
